Nah, the problem with Andor and Rogue One is they are just more prequel slop. Only in this case it's not about characters you care about. There are no stakes, we know what happens with the rebellion in the OT. I don't care about all the disney fill in the blanks story. You don't need to tell a story about how they captured the plans to the deathstar.

Two things I think the Prequels actually did better was

1. Interpersonal drama being a lot more intense (particularly the evolution of Anakin's relationship with Padme and Obi-Wan, although it often takes flak for not being well-acted, Anakin and Padme's relationship has a visceral intensity to it that Han and Leia's lacks)

2. Showing the good guys to be fallible. Not just Anakin Skywalker who ultimately succumbs to his greed and fear and becomes a villain, but the Jedi Order itself. It's shown to be an institution that while well-meaning, is fundamentally flawed and is ultimately brought down by said flaws. The Rebel Alliance on the other hand isn't really shown to have any flaws or setbacks apart from the Battle of Hoth where a bunch of nameless extras get killed.

Oh yeah I would agree that the acting in the Original Trilogy is better overall, but things like Han and Leia's budding romance is basically in the background. With Anakin and Padme on the other hand, it's center stage, one of the key subplots of the Prequels that winds up becoming Anakin's (and by extension the Jedi Order and the Republic) undoing it. The actual relationship is far more intense and its consequences are absolutely dire.
