It will likely finish between 550-700.
If the Asians didn't hate it, it probably could have hit a billion

The break even was the critical success. This was about restoring the brand

True Wb is playing the long game smart game it was never about money but carful quality reviews over money. They also spent peanuts making this too

Using the 2.5 method, on the reported budget, break even is 562m.

Real number is probably higher.

No they didn't. And those numbers do not even make sense. $750M - $1B is the range of breaking even given their movie budget as well as the marketing budget, and the % they receive from ticket sales.

Note that it's substantially less for countries abroad who have their own union regulations for the % studios can negotiate from theaters, and it varies with time too.

Keep in mind that Black Adam got $400M with a $200M budget (and barely any marketing in comparison) and that was considered a huge flop.

So similar movie like MoS is a flop too? Why did they build an universe using a flop as base?

MOS got horrific reviews and word of mouth. It dropped 67% its second weekend. None of those things are things you want to build a franchise. Why WB panicked and put Batman into the next one. And that movie dropped nearly a record 69% its second weekend

>MOS got horrific reviews and word of mouth
A- on Cinemascore, same as the new Superman.
> It dropped 67% its second weekend.
Fake.
>None of those things are things you want to build a franchise
You can't build a franchise around a movie that flopped everywhere except USA.
