Then DC killed her off and forbid any other Kryptonians from existing in canon so Superman was truly the last one. This stuck around for nearly 2 decades, until they brought her back as like a sort of bratty sorority slut as you can see in

Then in the New 52 relaunch when DC rebooted again, she was this warrior-trained fish out of water character adapting to Earth, sort of like Omni-Man. If you watch the My Adventures with Superman anime show that's pretty much her N52 version.

And nowadays she's kind of like her original self again but a bit more mature and not quite as cornball.

The story they're adapting for her movie is sort of an Elseworlds semi-canon thing where she starts out drunk in a bar for her birthday (pic related) but is more a depressed alcoholic than a straight up party girl. So it looks like they've merged her Post-Crisis version with this story.

She was drunk in the first issue, and from then on she was just kind of a jaded, depressed mentor figure.
