Jay obviously. Mike was pretty much the brains behind Space Cop and it's painfully obvious that he knows nothing about filmmaking. At least Jay would make a sincere effort and not make something ironic. Mike has been holding Jay back for years. At least the story about Jay moving to LA with his partner to create a short-film could be a stepping stone for him.

I think in the "making of" featurette for one of their movies, either Space Cop or Feeding Frenzy, Jay said he can't write dialogue for shit. He would need a competent screenwriter to fill out the script for him based on his story outline if he were to make a movie without Mike.

Because RLM is about quality of movies now, putting the spotlight on what they deem are worthwhile releases. I never watched RLM for this shit. I never needed their crappy taste. What I watched RLM for was the jokes and the good times. Their movie commentary has always been secondary. It's Jay that takes his position as an "influencer" seriously, which is why RLM sucks now and Mike is barely sentient.
