now that i think about it, i think Masuka would actually help him! You know the guy has a boring life dunno if he got married and once he heard Dexter code an that he was taking out dangerous repeat offenders i could see Masuka being Dexters Batwoman, oracle

dont remember how old dex was when seeing fogel? But im pretty sure shes been retconned from dexter os and the current run, my guess she is no longer canon. I want a season 2 Dexter in jail(Not prison) Imagine the stealh and how tense it would be for dexter to put in work having to dismember and dispose of a body in jail? Would be kino! )Yea yea i know would be impossible they would never let dex leave his cell)

i know, but if he had cops on the inside helping him (killing pedos, murders etc) esp other prisoners he could get some kills in (dunno about chopping up body) and by the end of the season he could easily escape some how.Hell like 20 atlanta 80 iq inamates all escaped at once by just un screwing a sink a couple months ago lmao but its dexter so i think it would be kino

A somewhat glaring issue I haven't seen discussed: when Harrison starts beating up pic related and inflicting that damage, punching him in the face over and over, that would leave severe bruises on his hand.
When the detectives interview Harrison within just a couple days later, his hand would still be bruised up.
So either he has Wolverine-like healing powers, or the detectives never looked at or noticed the condition of his hands despite the forensic evidence of the altercation, which would be retarded

no doubt but to know knowledge the only person killed in cold blood that was innocent was the black cop form iron lake? He rationalized that by rule number one of the code NEVER GET CAUGHT well he was caught and needed to reach Harrison so i don't even think it was possible for Dexter to NOT do what he did.Fight or flight, getting exposed, mr crabs about to kill his son, even a speeding ticket church going caring father who was innocent would do the same as dexter in that situation. But if he does kill Masuka(dont see it) hes gone full Dark Dexter at that point

Just kind of a weird direction. I like the character but seeing her appear as her old self doesn't feel like it fits the show and then they make her do a bunch of weird spooky things. I don't think they mesh well, either have her be herself and judgmental or have her be a simple reminder that haunts him every day.

She makes enough sense to me, being a bit less like the real Deb and more like a manifestation of everything that Dex regrets and blames himself for and ran away from.
The ghosts of Trinity and Miguel and Doakes are pretty detached from the real people too, in different ways

Here's Clyde's explanation for no Vogel in OS:

โ€œIt actually never came up. When we sit in the writing room, particularly when youโ€™re doing a thriller, you need to know what the ending is. You put that on the wall and put your nose against it and you walk backward. Letโ€™s say youโ€™re in a hotel hallway and you walk backward and each room youโ€™re passing is an episode until you get over here. Then we also have something which we call NPO, no particular order, scenes we want to see. We write them up on a board and about 35 or 40 percent of them get in like that ice truck going by, but we donโ€™t know what episode itโ€™s going in. We work in the ones that fit into the story, but story is king and character is king. So, Dr. Vogel isnโ€™t even in my consciousness, honestly.โ€

It's kind of like how they casually erased Hannah in New Blood and barely mentioned her.
If a character was introduced in the later seasons when Clyde wasn't involved with the show, then he feels no obligation to make use of them, even if it creates continuity issues

Corny. Harry should have tried and failed to forcibly apprehend and cuff Brian, instead of briefly considering shooting him in the head. The outcome of the scene would be the same that way.
Maybe set it up with another earlier scene where Brian almost gets arrested by some other cop, but he avoids getting cuffed and escapes, demonstrating that ability

>Quinn and Harrison both trying to convince him that the BHB has saved a lot of lives and done more good than harm
>Dexter somehow saves Angel from being killed by cult members

Angel won't die in this season, that would be too creatively limiting for now when they still have a big multi-season plan for Resurrection, and it would go against the themes of the new show if yet another OG main character dies and it's Dex's fault. It's supposed to be about redemption and saving people now

Fine because Iโ€™d wager there isnโ€™t a human alive thatโ€™s biting at the bits to see young Vogel show up in Original Sin. Her very existence is a dumb retcon that actively ruins Harry & Dexters relationship so just retconning her out of existence is not only perfectly acceptable itโ€™s actually preferred.

>can only kill a random black guy
In the New Blood finale he was about to attack Angela with kitchen knives, and would have done so if she had tried to arrest him by herself, with no backup.
It's not a kill of course, but it's a potential good and non-black victim
