They have a good "blue print" to make whatever they want to do going forward, even if it flops. The problem with the previous take was the stylistic choices and overall "big plot" wasn't cohesive for the other projects and had to rely on it, hence why most of their films felt tone-deaf to making a "universe"
I can't say that the future is "secured", especially with projects that feel like weird turns instead of giving what people want, but it will likely keep going even if Gunn is removed.

What I appreciated the most about Snyder is he knew the value of a-list characters. There was no time for delay. So much so it was to the detriment of small ones like Jimmy Olsen. Gunn’s natural tendency is to fuck around with nobodies and it’s not just risky here, it’s irresponsible. Ideally he would’ve announced a direct Superman sequel already. But he doesn’t even have a script yet, it won’t come until 2028 at the earliest. Doing stuff like Supergirl and Clayface is going backwards and it’s concerning how long it will take to get a Justice League movie. I’m sorry but fuck sgt rock and the authority. Superman is just scraping by and it should be treated as the momentary ceiling for DCU characters. Supergirl and Clayface definitely won’t make as much.

In any case I think it’s death by a thousand cuts for the DCU especially if it keeps looking like Superman and The Flash. The MCUisms won’t sustain. Trying to unify all the mediums is the same as holding the entire franchise hostage, more and more people will want alt stuff. MAWS hasn’t been renewed yet for example. Gunn never had a plan. This whole DCU thing is the dying breath of WB/DC and their partnership. WB is in a dire state even with some big hits this year and will be sold off again. All it will take for the jig to be up is Supergirl bombing (which of course it will) and The Batman: Part II right after to deliver the killing blow. I honestly don´t care for the live action universe. I´m more interested on what´s next for the animation universe after the reboot following crisis of infinite earths. The tomorrowverse time line was rushed and bland to say the least and crisis 3 movies were all an absolute disgrace.

Furthermore comics arcs from the past decade are too weak and don´t really deserve adaptations and the last reboots are laughable. Nobody cares about the Kriptonian labor guild or future state. It´s fucking ridiculous.

As for your actual question that lineup is ass. Most of DC B listers are just not interesting enough and they are already skipping them and moving to C listers.

Only Supergirl and Clayface are guaranteed to release. Swamp Thing has no director, Sgt.Rock will be an animated thing at best.

Gunn clearly said they they are making the movies only if the script is good and has a good director attached to it. I see this "phase 1" as restoring the quality of the brand and trust of the audience. Only when we get to Batman and JL stuff WB will start to expect Avengers numbers. As long as Gunn produces critic AND audience hits, DCU is safe.
