>350 million production budget >WB's most extensive marketing campaign, double that of Barbie (well over 200 million and more) >will cap at 500/600 million This is a catastrophic bomb and WB is gaslighting the public in press releases. This is crazy. Bizarre.

>>212934956 It’s because audiences are attracted to things that are popular and also to show strength to investors. But yeah this movie is dead internationally and it’s about to get its ticket sales cannibalized by Fantastic Four
>>212935235 WB will continue to fund this DCU because they're in way too deep and sunk cost fallacy is breaking their minds? How fucking pathetic. They'd rather crash and burn than cut their losses and admit they bet on the wrong horse.

MOS budget adjusted for inflation was 900 million. It would’ve needed to make 5 billion today because theaters that are all going bankrupt take 70% of the profits.
it took the human race's entire pool of accumulated capital to produce this movie. now the next 70 years of our economic future will be dominated by 24/7 chattel slavery in which we all toil in our efforts to buy enough cinema tickets to make it profitable.
