This is one of the first films I have ever seen on the theaters. I remember how excited I was, I even went wearing my favorite Batman shirt (I was 15 at the time). Is it wrong if I find it to be my favorite movie ever?

>Is it wrong if I find it to be my favorite movie ever?

Nope. I hated the film with a passion, but there's plenty of films I saw when I was young that I would consider some of my "favorites" just because I saw them when I was a child.

No, I've been to the theaters before. It's just that I have a fond memory of this was because it was one of the few (not first) movies I saw on the big screen. And I went with my dad, so it's a good memory.

My dad is a boomer so he didn't give a fuck about the film, and went to the bathroom about 3-4 times. Still liked having my old man there with me.

I had the opposite experience, can you believe that? I mean, there are mistakes, like the Martha thing. But when growing up I didn't enjoy it fully. Now, as an adult, I appreciate how cool it was.

i watched it in cinemas and loved it, remember rushing to school to rave about it and all my mates and teachers saying how shit it was
it broke my heart and for a solid couple of years i just avoided the topic and brushed it off as "oh yea that movie wasn't that good haha"
eventually i stopped being a faggot tho when everyone was praising marvel, i felt insane and i started preaching about snyder's masterpieces

I watched it when I was 14. I remember liking it but finding the death of Superman a little off putting. To this day I’m still wondering if Zack made the right decision. That’s probably because we never got to actually see him post resurrection since everything ended with Justice League. As someone who reveres the DCAU I was completely fine with Eisenberg’s Luthor.

Snyderverse Batman was kino, and everything I read about his unproduced solo project sounded good, and even better than what we got in the films.

I think the reason some people vividly hate Snyder’s DC work is because he’s in fact incredibly talented and detailed. Directors like Gunn, Favero, and the Russos could only dream of achieving the level of capekino Snyder does. BUT he doesn’t execute it in the way some would want that would just make it absolute perfection. So they’re angry that some things, like Cavill’s casting, could’ve been really great but fell short over what they deem painfully idiotic decisions. Snyder is like one of the harshest mixed bags ever.

On another note while I’m at it
>”I’m so tired of grimdark edgy superhero movies. I’m so happy we’re done with it.”
I’m confused as to when this was actually a thing. The vast majority of superhero movies especially in the last 10 years have been middle of the road bland slop. The only capeshit movies I would consider dark (outside of Batman) I could count on one hand. But I will say Superman 2025 is the furthest to go in on whimsicality which is why I can see people feel that way.

The Ultimate Edition was better, but I agree with you, and I think the problem was shoehorning too many events into one movie. Doomsday and Superman's movie should've happened at a later point.

I was about to call you a fetus but you must be only two years younger than me. What the hell? My first cinema movie was Finding Nemo. Damn shame that you never went to a cinema until movies were entering prime slop era. Also, that's not wrong, just be aware that you simply have very thick, very rose-tinted goggles.

Saw it as a kid in theaters.
Found it boring.
Watched it again this year.
Still found it boring.
