Honestly, early 2000s comedy movies like Roadtrip, Oldschool, or Wet Hot American Summer are fucking great. They have so much more character than the comedy now. The only movie I have seen that has some character was Brothers/2024.

Isnit true black actors had a hard time finding work in the 90's and early 00's?

I read that black performers had trouble getting work because they were only getting hired for scenes with black females since interracial was still very taboo in the industry

I'm currently watching Supernova (2000)
So far it seems like a third of the screen time is taken up by this one crew member who reprogrammed the ship's computer to act more human and named it "Sweetie".
He does the typical irritating fag voice but without the lisp.

I am about to hijack this thread to ask what would a script similar to boogie nights but set in the 2000s where DVD and video is becoming replaced with streaming.

In boogie nights it was the 70's movie theatres going into the 80's
