Benifit DC has is it has a lot B list characters they haven’t made movies on. Remember that’s who Marvel made their empire off of. They didn’t have their A list characters. Sony had Spider Man. Fox had X Men. Universals still had movie rights to The Hulk. Iron Man at the time was not A list. Neither was Thor or Captain America.

Superman is not a sure thing. He may be recognizable but that doesn’t mean people want to see him. He isn’t Batman or Spider Man or even Jurassic Park where you could put it out even if it’s total garbage and it will make a lot of money
