>>212949714i was in 6th grade when i watched it at the cinema with school friends, none of us liked or appreciated Jar Jar at all, we enjoyed most of the TPM though, the visuals were in a class of their own, utterly unsurpassed until I saw Fellowship of the ring in the cinema, first time i ever realised just how incredible a top-notch film could be.
Anyone else really disappointed in how much western media as a whole has failed in general in the last 20 years? when i was a young teen, i was blown away by the cinematics and atmosphere of Diablo 2+LoD. The pure distilled kino of it, only to discover that D2 was literally the peak of arpg storytelling and nothing else has come close, all its contemporaries have basically aped the theme and never tried to surpass the benchmark it set, just made better gameplay iterations. Same with movies, they're all just trying to, at best, hit the same beats and level of quality as older masterpieces, and invariably failing at it. I'm not even talking about the decline in talent and all the shitskins and dieversity hires muddying the waters, its been a decline in every format, music and literature aswell.
