If you appreciate animation, you have to watch it. No, I'm not joking.
As a grown ass man that has no interest in Kpop, I still ended up getting invested. I went in for the visuals alone, and was surprised how slick the story was for being so simple. I'm keeping it short so skeptics might actually read this, so if you're cynical about the current state of film today, this is a great palate cleanser.

I watched it with my son Grisha. Maybe this review will not contain much words about this film in particularly, but i guess you do not need a whole review to figure out quality of this movie. I wanna talk about overall problems about movies for kids. Other parents, hear me out, you do not need to show stupid movies for you kid only because they are "suitable for children`s". Nowadays kids are stronger than you think. I am a cinephilie, so i got pretty huge collection of classical movies. And my kid, which is 10 years old, has unlimited access to all movies. At my opinion, we do not need age restriction anymore, it s a thing society forces us to have, but when i was a child, my parents had not cared what what movies i liked to watch. So now, i`m 40 years old successful retired pornstar from Germany. My life is awesome. Anyway, what i`m trying to say is, just watch with you kid some better movies. Last evening our friends of family came to have a party, and they has bring 16 and 12- old kids with them. Kids said "we want to watch KPOP DEMON HUNTERS" at my OLED 73 inch tv. I turned that movie on and went to other parents to have chat and eat something. After the end of movie i heard how everybody was happy and glad, and crying of Grisha. And we have small conversation - What the matter, honey? - I DON`T LIKED THIS MOVIE!!!!! - Why? - Because it`s very dumb and for children`s! How they can watch this! I liked much better this movie about jungle what we watched last week! - You liked "Cannibal Holocaust"?! - YES! It was great! After this, i understood, that I am the happiest dad in entire world! Me and my Grisha have a same great taste in movies! Cannibal Holocaust helped to build unbreakable bonds with my dearest child! Thanks for yours attention and sorry for my English

im not watching any animated movie that does 'stylistic' low framerate. Its not visually appealing, it gives me a headache, any time you point out that you dont like it some pseud is quick to respond how its heckin artistically styled that way and im too dumb to understand it. No I understand, the K/da league of legends mv is the same kind of Kpop cgi girls concept and it has fluid animation, they literally lower the framerate on purpose and sell it to you as avante garde art style choice. Just fuck off.

This movie earns the fuck out of its emotional payoffs. The second act breakup is dumb like always, but the scene that exposes it was so well done that I had to let them have it.
