Mike Rowe can be right and wrong at the same time. The USA has done a terrible job of guiding people into jobs. I am from pretty average middle America and all of my friends are about 35 now. The only ones that turned out alright were the top 20ish% of the graduating class. Everybody else has done pretty disappointingly, professionally speaking. The issue with American culture is we've never appreciated education and natural curiosity on a national level.
