All I want is a pirate movie that treats the golden age of piracy with the same historicity that Master and Commander does. 99% of pirate media is fantasy slop, and it's not fair. There are fantasy westerns, but then there are also revisionist westerns that try to be documentary-level accurate to the period. The same is not afforded to pirates, it's always some retarded fantastical Treasure Island/Pirates of the Caribbean version with Krakens and shit.
