I watched the original for the first time recently, and it's good. I can see why it has a cult following.

Tron legacy is a good follow up, and has some tie ins.

Honestly, for a Disney family film it is pretty good. IT was an 80s corporate espionage plot with Bridges as a programmer done wrong. I guess kinda standard, but it works contrasted with the fantastic computer world.
