Base it off of Stand By Me, which Pokemon itself references. A group of kids are going off to see a rare Pokemon that may or may not actually be there. Not capture, just catch a glimpse of. They go through a forest, a cave, and at least two major cities. Maybe one of them has gym battle, but possibly loses.
