Why do Predator fans accept all the butchered different versions they've come out with? The first one is a timeless classic, all-time monster/alien design and they keep fucking with it. Predator 2 did it right though, there's obvious differences from the first to make it distinct but the overall design is intact

I love Predator 1 and 2 and Predators is alright too but hate the "yautja" lore. The Predator from the first one could've been a doctor back home and was just on a hunting trip but no, actually their whole culture revolves around hunting and honor shit because this one individual represents the whole species. I also hate the comics and how they tried to make the predators some sort of space samurais. There's nothing in the (first two) movies that supports that idea. If the predator was all for honor he would always fight 1v1 but he hunts from the shadows and he's perfectly fine with using superior weapons and ambushes to kill their prey. Yes, jungle predator wanted a 1v1 at the end but that was after all the fight Dutch put up.
