Could be quite some time if the rest of his body is healthy. It's so fucked up. I was told that death bed repentance only works for like people in other nations who had no idea about Christianity or God or something. That essentially people ride their lives out however they want until they're literally sick and dying. And at that point how can God use you? You turn your life around for the time you have left in bed and praise him then? At the end of your life? I'd pray that he accepts it but I've heard situations where that isn't honored. Because realistically you played around for 99% of your life. Pledging the last 1% when you knew who Jesus was and what he did for you will be outright rejected. Like, the courts of heaven already judged where you were going by what's in your heart. Which is why it's best to get a move on getting to know Jesus NOW as opposed to later on.
