I can’t think of that many gay couples in media so yeah I guess give it to them. Does the show ever have them kiss on camera? I’ve only seen the first season and it’s blatantly obvious how they’re the only couple that didn’t kiss on the lips. I know it aired on ABC but that’s just retarded. They should have had all the other couples not kiss either so it would be harder to tell.

Good. It's not right to hate gay people. It's not them that's doing it. It's the sin they are falling victim to. There's no reason to actively hate or fear them as Jesus doesn't. Yeah, the show eventually addresses it.
But, really, from what I remember a lot of the show's storylines, especially early seasons Mitch and Cam, happen with the family together. The show is focused on making Mitch a likeable gay (Cam is a funny gay) and people instinctually realise that straight and gay couples are different, and that a likeable gay would avoid kissing his gay partner around his father.
