Depends. If it's nepotism with the actors then it can be hit or miss depending on how attractive they are and how much actual acting background these nepobabies have besides "my daddy is so and so". Where nepotism always fails is in the background, specifically the writers and other creative positions. Creativity, unlike good genes and attractive features, can not be inherited. So when a clever/funny writer with years of experience contributing to well written shows, it helps no one to convince your team to hire your loser kid who's never written shit in his life or is even funny.

I actually think she's right, it probably closes just as many doors as it opens. The real source of inequality isn't so much generational fame but generational wealth. Actors and artists need to spend years working the circuit to even have a chance of being successful. Obviously to do that you have to live in a prohibitively expensive major city like London or LA and have ample free time for auditions, networking, doing internships and improving your skills. Ordinary people can no longer afford that (if they ever could).
