One of my favorite episodes is Funnyish Games in season 13 or 14. Stan gets tricked at a department store "you're the most perfect fool" and the guy practically haunts him and early on Stan is trying to tell Francine they need advanced home security and him climbing the side of the house and dislocating his arm to get through the window like "any good 2nd floorman" is as hard as the show gets me. If you like what the characters become around S12-14 then just keep watching. It's still a fun weekly show to keep up with and the characters are mostly the same without complete butchering. Actual focused plots too, unlike Family Guy.
S1 is just not that funny if you like how the characters are in future seasons, but it's alright. Doesn't fully hit it's stride until S4.
