For years it really seemed like it was over. Even normies were starting to shit on superhero movies and it was looking like the bubble burst and we were finally gonna see this trend come to an end.
Then this comes along and blows everything else out of the water. I fucking knew people weren't done with superhero movies. They were just waiting for an actual good one.
We're not gonna be done with this shit for another decade at least.

even if superhero movies died, it doesn't mean well written, artistic movies would take their place. It'd just be some other big budget action movie with shitty indian special effects, because theater tickets are $14+ and will only get higher. Which means people will only spend money on movies that look best in theaters to them, and to most that means special effects driven action movies.

Superhero movies been around since the moment they were created. From the serial movies to TV shows to big budget movies. The only thing that’s changed is the frequency of them. You use to get a couple every couple of years. Now it’s every couple of months. Mostly because of CGI allowing capeshit movie to be made. You couldn’t done most superhero movies with practical FX.

The issue is one good movie won't save comic movies, there has to be couple good ones to restore faith in them.
So if Superman and then Fantastic 4 do great and then maybe.
It's like when Rome was falling and the won the Catalaunian Plains, sure it was a big victory but it didn't stop the decline.
