I recently watched some old interviews (70s, 80s ) with Arnold and it was nothing short of mind boggling.The guy has the charisma and stage presence of Freddie Mercury and Adolf Hitler combined. Is this just a side product of unwavering determination and willpower? I mean everyone knows his origin story by now.

The most interesting and mysterious part of his biography (and yeah, I have his biography book) is still his post-arrival to pre-acring phase.

the thing that's always struck me is he had an older brother, Meinhard, who was considered the more talented of the two, but who ended up being an alcoholic and dying in a drunk driving accident. Arnold gave an interview just within the past few years where he said that Meinhard was more sensitive and so the abuse they both suffered at the hands of their father crushed him, whereas it gave Arnold the fuel to succeed. so i think Arnold just constitutionally was built that way, a naturally sociable guy.
