I really don't get why they couldn't use the footage for some sort of dream sequence or something; shitcanning the whole thing considering like half the budget of the movie went into making it was such a bizarre choice.

it was a mistake to use the ending of the play at all. they made seymore and audrey too relatable and appealing. the ending they slapped together is much funnier and glib in a very 80s movie way that makes no sense

I hear the original stage play makes Seymour more le evil so it seems like he has it coming when Audrey II kills him, but how did he not have it coming in the finished movie as it is? The plant eats human flesh and it's just getting bigger and bigger with no sign of stopping. Seymour brought it on himself and got what was coming to him (in the original based and redpilled ending). The theatrical ending sucks balls.

I still can’t believe they made a kid’s cartoon based on this. I know they did it for a lot of movies but it was just weird to make Audrey 2 Seymour’s good best friend during his childhood

I went to a Halloween showing of Little Shop of Horrors at the Alamo Drafthouse several years ago and they had the director’s cut ending. It was weird because they didn’t advertise that would be the case, so I was left wondering if that had secretly become the official version at some point.

I prefer the theatrical ending, because it's the version I grew up with. That being said, I can enjoy the original ending, and I can appreciate all the work that went into it. It's just a fucking bummer, and goes on way too long.

I like some parts of the Aliens DC. But the whole "sentry gun" scene makes it so that when Ripley enters the nest at the end, there's only like 3 or 4 Xenomorphs left besides the queen. And making Newt's dad the first victim is a little too convenient.
