Yeah, when she's on the rag she tends to kill new lifeforms created by two crew members Dragonball Z fusing together and when she needs a "mental health day" she goes really fast and turns into an amphibian.

In DS9 they take pills to suppress their reproductive cycles, so presumably the same applies to the Voyager crew.

Her inconsistency was one of her defining characteristics. Don't know if the writers did that on purpose or it was a subliminal addition.
