show's been dead for ~14 years. I consider You're Getting Old to be the spiritual end of the show

the season long plots, the bad Trump jokes ( I have no problem with them making fun of Trump but it's literally the same jokes everyone else is making) and then Randy becoming the main character mark that this is entirely a new show

the fact that Matt and Trey have no problem continuing it shows how much of sellouts they are

They are not producing new episodes regularly, so it's not hard watch a new season.
People who liked it in the past can still remember to check them out.
Also, they manage to be less dumb than the McFarlane shows (most of the time).

South Park is insanely profitable even if maintains barest minium number of views, because animation cost must be extremely low.
For comparison, Sponge Bob episode costs half a million, and Family Guy costs 2 million

>Less dumb
Depends on your perspective. South Park is about 30 minutes of the same joke repeated as nauseum. They go to great lengths to explain every joke. To me, this only appeals to absolute retards.
>Fish STICKS...fish DICKS. Get it???? You like fish DICKS so you're gay. See, stick kind of sounds like dick, and if you like dick, you're gay. So if you like fish sticks...
While a Family Guy joke may not be understood by the viewer, at least they don't waste more than thirty seconds before moving on to the next thing. Don't get it? Don't worry, it doesn't matter.
Idk I legitimately feel more stupid after watching any given South Park episode than anything made by McFarlane.

Last time it had 10 episodes was 2019 and had been like that since 2013. Even at the highest it was 18. They've never made a full seasons worth of episodes. Matt and Trey have other side projects they've been working on since then so South Park has been put to the side.

Comedy Blasphemy,
Only reason The Early 2000s wasn't a Politically Correct Society like the 90s & 2010s were, is because South Park Reached Mainstream more than (That FAKE Wrestling Crap) & (Any other Highschool White Guy/Black Guy as friends Sitcom Shows in the 90s) all together could ever Influence anybody,
I remember watching Timmy Episode from 2000 on HBO Max & Also Trapper keeper Episode on how they Crucified Rosie O'Donnell,
To me South Park is to Comedy & Television to what People thought of Beatles or Unrelentless 80s Nostalgia Stories
