I kinda wish they picked another action star for the lead role other than Glover like Willis or even Stallone. Would've honestly made the movie just as good as the original

Nah, he fits the role of "cop with just two weeks left until retirement."

Glover actually fit fine in the role if you ask me. He nailed the feeling of a beat cop in a shitty high crime rate city without going the usual “grizzled tough and as nails but still cool headed” archetype. Him being an impulsive hot head with enough experience to be effective yet 110% done with everyone’s shit worked.

It's a classic and great. Only faggots shit on Predator 2.

I like it. I just think it holds the unfortunate role of following Predator. If it had been any other movie monster it'd have worked better, but the idea of some alien hunter deciding what is essentially a giant zoo for humans and not construably a hunting environment is kind of silly. Also introduced the honor rules bull that's plagued the series since

I always liked it. Guys see the other Predator giving him the old flintlock pistol out of respet and just think, "hell yeah."

Arguably, it’s better than Predator 1.
Admittedly, I only saw Predator 1, after seeing Predator 2, but Predator 2 had way better depth to the story line, and way better production design.
Any criticism of Predator 2 is probably based on the fact that it was a different kind of film than Predator 1, set in a different type of location, with a different character mix.
