I'm still mad at Netflix for not giving it a second season.

okay
>THE SHIPS DONT GET DELETED, THEY JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ON THE "OCEAN"
uh okay
>WITHIN THE SHIP ARE OTHER LOCATIONS THAT HAVE DEFINITE BOUNDARIES
...if it's a simulation, why does it need boundaries?
Overall, it wasn't that good. Not a lot of thought went into the premise as it being a simulation means most things about said simulation should have been different.

Netflix shoot itself on the foot when it cancelled it, on both feet when it also cancelled the dark crystal and on it´s dick when it ruined and then cancelled Altered Carbon.

I mean, what do they even have left? 3 episodes of stranger things and that´s it. And let´s be real, S02 was derivative, S03 was pretty bad despite the new dynamics and characters and S04 came too late. S05 doesn´t even look particularly interesting or good but an ending is better than nothing i guess (well, considering this thread we don´t really have to guess)

I miss the times when cancelling stuff was the exception rather than the rule...

Lost has forever poisoned audiences against anything that resembles a slowly unfolding narrative by simply pretending to be one. This is expounded by the cancelation epidemic, where people don’t bother checking out new shows until they know they won’t get canceled, which results in shows getting canceled after one season.

Lost might be the original "mystery box" cancer of writers going up their own asses and thinking that being opaquely cryptic is deep. If you are talented you can make up or steer the plot on the fly but hacks like Jew Jew Abrams just use it as an excuse to crap out slop with no plan or direction and rely on the audience making up reasons and secret meanings to nonsensical gibberish. Leaves plenty of room to shoehorn in lefty propaganda too.

That's what killed this 1899. Simple as. It's not the mystery, it's not the slow burn, it's not the plot twist. It's wokeshit. Like it kills everything else it touches. There's only one reason certain people keep ignoring the elephant in the room.

They are on an extended space expedition, she needs to go back into the simulation because the simulation has corrupted the flight plan, the simulation keeps changing because the governing entity doesn’t want to lose control of the expedition because once the flight is over it no longer exists.

Lost wasn’t being “opaquely cryptic,” it was being “we’re going to foreshadow shit that won’t happen because people figured out the foreshadowing because we aren’t as clever as we think we are.”

I was about halfway through the show before I realized what happened. Why would Netflix even make that a choice and not make the default the original audio?

The show was shit anyways and did not deserve a second season. You can tell the writers did not have a larger story planned out because they would had at least released what their plans were after cancellation for their fans.
