Have you ever worked on a TV/movie production? What was it like?
i carried scripts for like three years on a set in san diego. a lot of walking around so i started bringing my bike to work so eventually people started calling me paper boy. didn't really interact with the cast that much because i didn't care so i'd spend every moment not hauling bags of papers to and fro in the toilet browsing 4chan and playing video games on my DS. don't have any funny stories about actors behaving like jackasses but all in all it was a nice experience.

>>213002527 (OP)Nope. My favorite story of a person working in film comes from Bill Hader though when he was a PA and got to drop a green goblin bomb on someone's head from the top of the screen off camera. That sounded fun.

I worked for a local PBS station for a year or two in college operating cameras. It was mostly sad, sometimes really cool. I kind of wish I had stuck to it and moved to LA or something, would have been fun.

My grandfather used to work as the guy that made sure all the logistics shit was set up and working properly during location shoots. Generators, trailers, lights, tents, catering stuff, medics, all that shit. He told me that the funniest thing that happened to him was during the filming of Superman back in the 70's. He had to repeatedly call plumbers to unfuck the toilet in Chris Reeves trailer because he kept filling it with massive amounts of shit and toilet paper to the point it wouldn't go down and would overflow if you tried to flush it. He said Reeves wouldn't admit it and blamed it all on Marlon Brando, who was also in the film.
