>>213003263 (OP)Could do some 2099 stories and characters, like Arno Stark, Tony's criminal descendant, maybe do a Days of Future Past type thing where events in the far future alter/cancel/reset the present in a more straight up linear time travel way as opposed to multiverse shit, leaving a clean slate, then ultimately recast the 'present' MCU characters retconned as happening later, (the same way Tony built his armour from a box of scraps in Vietnam originally, but gets reconned to later wars each decade or two).
Like you have maybe a couple of characters from the present MCU get pulled into the future by 2099 fags, where all the 2099 versions are running around played by new actors, and have some epic time-spanning battle that affects the present, then you have a clear slate and a bunch of 2099 characters you could bring in later if they hit a chord.
Have some dramatic events and main character deaths, like cast a new Dr. Doom that Epsteins his future self, (kino in the comics), maybe leave CURRENT YEAR characters lost in time or in the future so you can bring them back later if you want but don't have to.
Just saw this scene from Ultron and thinking how cool it was the ambiguity of his death. Notice he takes a step toward Vision while they're talking closing the distance, and you never actually see what happened. Meaning Ultron could have inserted his code in some kind of dormant state inside Vision or whatever. So easy to bring back and doesn't conflict with the prior films.
That's the kind of thing the MCU should have been doing and planning all along. Not just lazily bring back fags because 'muh multiverse'. Like actually make it interesting and cool.
