A lot of those cases are not that unrealistic in-universe, which takes away a bit from that message. One of the three things I didn't like in the show, the other being conspiracy not giving much fuck to all the other supernatural shit (that they might've used), and monster-of-the-week episodes leading pretty much nowhere to preserve status quo in-universe (For example, Eve clones just disappearing)
