I know I'm going to get called a psued, but this film is fantastic, and for the simple reason that watching it made me recall dozens of early childhood memories and experiences with my mother and father that I had no idea I still had. If a movie can do that I think it's certainly done something right.

this is why it's kino. it's the ultimate human experience movie. one of my favorites.

It could have been shorter

I've only walked out of one movie and I don't remember what is it was. Went and caught most of Silver Linings Playbook, which was pretty good. Only movie I fell asleep at was Haywire.

There's nothing "psued" about that. In fact it's the exact opposite. You had an emotional response to a film made in large part to engender a complex emotional response. I'm not even sure what a pseudointellectual response to that film would look like but it's certainly not anything like what you described.

tree of life is the only movie that really made me feel any kind of profound emotion (beyond "haha" or "thats kinda sad" or "damn thats crazy"). also badlands is my favorite movie.

the only movie i remember walking out on was "The Circle (2017 film)". my memory is fuzzy but i think me and the wife were bored and just wanted to get out of the house, we went to the movie theater and literally everything playing was dogshit so the circle is what we settled on. and walking out wasnt even my idea, my wife suggested it and shes the type of person that could watch anything.

Hook. My friends and I were on acid and we wanted to go back to the mall.

Bringing Out the Dead. I said the next classic rock song or whatever and I'm walking out. It was so soon I think I even got my money back.

Twin Town. I went with my friend and his girlfriend and there was some scene where they were dressed as the Taliban or something and made some joke about America. I really loudly said haha thats so funny and stormed out and smoked a cigarette for 15 minutes.

Day of the Animals. Midnight movie revival thing. I think its from the 70s. I stormed out of that one too but only because this girl next to me was screaming the whole movie about Leslie Neilson and whatever the fuck else she could think of. There was only about 15 minutes left but I finally snapped.

Mst3k simulcast Night of the Living Dead. Stormed out of that one too but during the end credits because some guy a few seats down was literally banging the absolute shit out of his arm rest to the theme song. And I also needed to catch a bus but I really stormed out. And then at some point I remembered oh shit they have the stinger things so I fucked up.

I recently watched The Curcle and it was genuinely painful. The only thing you may have missed out on was if you're a very diehard Bill Paxton fan because it was like his last movie or something.
