It's much better to watch it as a stoned 17 year old on one of those 3D TVs that they don't make anymore, but you'll still have a good time. Try to at least watch it on a TV with a decent sound setup.

Its alright, i think people go overboard using it as an example to bag on the Stallone version.
Stallone's Dredd had the true megacity scale and futuristic feel much better, tremendous visuals.
Nu-Dredd was gritty and didnt have the campiness or just end up as a generic Stallone action movie. But the scale and scenery doesnt hold up to the source material.

It's excellent, OP. One of the best comic book movies ever made. It's very similar to The Raid, as many others have said.

It actually did eventually get a sequel in the form of a two issue limited series. So be aware of that if you want more after watching.
