>>213017717 (OP)People don't respect lore anymore. Reading/watching a piece of media, speculating with other fans, approaching it from different angles, experiencing it again at different ages, etc. They want to just binge watch and hoover up as much as possible and move on if there's nothing left to consoom. Since they're in full autistbrain mode, everything has to be good/true or bad/false.
Since many parts of the Bible are pseudohistory or heavily symbolic, they deem that it must be bad/untrue because they're too retarded to grasp the concept of moral allegory. It's similar to how you see Zoomers watching old media like X-Files and being mad that not everything is explained. Or getting pissed when an older movie doesn't make it's villain pathetic or repeatedly remind the audience he's bad so some fans sympathize with or even cheer for him.
tl;dr Capeshit is the media of choice for the age of autism because it doesn't challenge the viewer. They want to be distracted by the pretty colors and cool battles and be beaten over the head with their moral messages(which are always something banal like "it's good to not kill people for no reason"). Watching it is the equivalent of the dopamine hit of ordering pizza but losing the deeper satisfaction of learning to cook something from scratch or trying a new dish you've never had before.
