>>213020340I know it's a hard sell, especially on /tv/ since it seems that everyone pretends to hate it now (even though everyone here loved it as it aired), but Mr. Robot is the closest TV has gotten to actual cinema. It's a very rare case in the sense that it's one continuous story that was planned out from beginning to end
Email's direction (every episode starting from S2 until the very end) is crazy good and probably the most creative on TV and Rami Malek is the best lead I've ever seen in a show.
I will say that S1 is a bit of a double edged sword, you'll either think it's too pseud and dismiss it as a silly or you'll think it's awesome but then get thrown off by the direction of the rest of the show. Rest assured that all of that serves a point and it's a lot smarter than it lets itself. It's 100% at least worth trying if you liked Leave the World Behind. If there's one time for you to trust an anon, it's now.
