All three of these movies are deeply flawed but if you combined elements from all of them you'd get a great Superman movie. The first Donner one is the only one to get every element right.

I like all three of them cause I'm a sane person who doesn't treat media and art like Norf FC vs Souf FC.

Gunnman = MoS > Returns
I like Sneeder and Gunn's versions for different reasons. One was cool visually and one was faithful to Superman.

MoS was faithful to the Golden Age Superman while Gunnman was just a modern DC comic book that turns Superman into Goku and has a bunch of other crap. Not offensively bad by any stretch but it's just a live action post-2015 comic book.

Chris Reeves was a great Superman but he carried those movies pretty much on his back. If you combined MoS and Superman 25 you'd have the best movie.

If that movie came out today people in here would complain non-stop about the time travel deus ex and Luthor's characterization.

Yes it is actually.

In a single film it nailed the tone, music, Krypton origin and lore, farm origin, Daily Planet stuff, Clark vs SM identities, villain, personal drama, stakes etc... It balanced every element so well - something every other Superman reboot has struggled with.

MoS didn't get anything right, literally not a single element. I guess they didn't make the Kents trailer trash so that's one thing they did right over SM25

that's a really absurd cope. why not just have a feature film that's good?
that's not even a lot to ask. you're not saying
>the whole novel series would be good if they axed significant entries
it's like talking about a single novel.

The only good thing about Returns is the model train scene but it's so good it almost justifies the rest of the movie.

The first two are deeply flawed. Superman 2025 is almost perfect.
