It really isn’t and was changed from the day format of the first cuts precisely because it didn’t make much sense. It’s still a fractured story with too many moving parts that makes Superman a sideshow in his own movie BUT they do lay out the main threat in a comprehensible way which F4 does not.

It’s a competition between two retarded projects that can’t do the fucking basics of screenwriting and Superman edges it out by being slightly less tarded.
What a win.

It'll make a lot more. But, yes, it looks awful.

It will make money because blockbusters are sparse these days so if something comes out it can dominate the theaters unopposed for a while.

It used to be that the summer blockbuster prime time was filled wall to wall with movies and even when they were competing they'd make bank.
Now it's some limp garbage movie shat out by a studio just to keep an IP going that's going to be on streaming services in two weeks anyway.
The entire system is propped up by latinos since the whole family goes with like 8 kids.

all they did with Superman was take out the title cards and a bunch of jokes.
it gave Superman the correct amount to do, recognizing that you can only show him at full power for a very short amount of time before he gets boring.

it might not work for under 12 kids because it literally throws you straight into the middle of the story but the structure is really solid once you get over the spam of ideas. it's a movie for people who are familiar with the genre and don't need their hands holding.
