I went to a meeting with a CIA recruiter because my graduate school invited them, I didn’t get the job because I’m too retarded. The recruiter said that the two main positions they hire for are (1) analyst, usually you’re smart and know a lot about geopolitics and know how to use ArcGIS and speak a foreign language - they publish a good publicly available World Factbook and (2) agents - the recruiter was an analyst and he basically told me that agents are hired for charisma, ability to manipulate people, and basically being sociopaths - their job is to deal with foreigners who the CIA is paying. CIA agents themselves don’t do that much ‘spying’, they manage locals who do the spying. He also told me Havana Syndrome is real and his friend got blasted while visiting New Delhi with Pompeo.

FBI is just high level police officers, though they have a bad tendency to claim a case from local jurisdiction and then sit on it forever while street level criminals continue to victimize people and the local cops can’t do shit about it because the FBI says ‘we’re going after the big guys and we’ll make arrests in like 5 years idk’
I respect FBI agents and most of the work they do but they also often tie the hands of the police who are concerned with helping local victims rather than ‘big picture’ investigations. FBI is also increasingly politicized in a partisan way.

Final note to my blog post: the only CIA agent I think I’ve ever known was a woman who went to a Harvard online extension program and told everyone she was a ‘Harvard graduate’ and then published a bunch of her ‘geopolitics analysis’ articles on a website she made herself because nobody else would publish her slop. She went to work for an embassy, then the Pentagon, then changed her name on all of her social media and also told me ‘I plan on working for the CIA’
She’s also a fucking PSEUD so I wouldn’t call it the ‘Chad intelligence agency’, by all accounts it’s an organization full of people who thrive off gossip and work for 80k - catty intelligence agency frybqh

I interviewed with the CIA back in the 80's. I too didn't get the job because I'm retarded. At the time, I didn't believe the name given me by the agent, because it sounded like something out of a movie. Years later I saw a news article from the time where he was talking about visiting the campus's; so jokes on me, the name was real

To be completely honest, CIA analyst is just being a lawyer of sorts, reading lots of facts and connecting dots. An agent requires a certain level of, wholly belivin' that people should have free will, while encouraging those that believe that same thing to do things that disrupts control freaks power. It's tough. But absolutely necessary to make an omelette. Kinda beautiful. Oh, also, I'd kill a battalion of men with my bare hands to grow tarro and catch fresh fish to cook over an open fire next to our tiki hut on the beach of an island where we live for picrel.
