I mostly remember growing up surrounded by people who paid no attention to politics and actively scorned them. And now all those same people watch this stuff every single day. They fall asleep to bad news. How do you do that? How do you find bad news comforting enough to fall asleep to? Where did I go wrong I just wanna be like everyone else.

Yes, I used to think I was "liberal" too. I drew the line when tranny and pronoun stuff started to be pushed and we were all expected to worship brown and black people and treat them like victims. I am way more bigoted than I ever was before, even as a kid. The change in social climate had the opposite effect on me.

I remember the third time I got high (of a total of five times) I watched The Daily Show, which I enjoyed at the time, being a teenager, and I had a disassociative episode as I was suddenly able to notice that the audience was laughing at the setups instead of the punchlines half the time. It made me realize everyone is retarded except me.

I remember being an extremely depressed kid and having a new daily show to watch was sometimes the only happiness Id get out of my day. now Im an extremely depressed adult with literally nothing to look forward to.
