Was disappointed to see daddy dom return yet again. It’s really hard to watch and not funny at all. Why is there hired actors and sets if they just gonna yap for hours while they just stand there doing nothing? Anyway alot of long improv tangents, sam was just doing a remake and an extended version of the 1st WP blackface dating sketch. The sketches were okay but not good enough to care. Graphics were good. Bones and All Under Heaven were good musical guests. There are some pretty funny sketches: Prom, Porche commercial, some of the blue collar sketches, etc.
Problem is that >50% of the season is not funny, or even trying to be funny seemingly. Also rehashing bits from World Peace got old fast. I know that they can do better, so I'll hold out for season 3 five years from now, but this season was not good.

Extreme Peace was good. I rewatched most of the episodes and they definitely grew on me.. It's gotta be tough doing a sequel to World Peace. The original show's become such a legend; the sketches and memes are part of the collective unconscious and it's hard to separate the actual content from the events surrounding its debut and subsequent blacklisting. WP and EP are both great in their own ways. It's tempting to see EP as a continuation of WP (sequel sketches etc, ) but it's really it's own unique thing with a totally different vibe. I think it'll get a positive reevaluation as time passes

peanut arbuckle skit went on too long. Impact of a good costume falls off over time. Erick saved the bit though, arguing with the lady when she couldn't pay was pretty funny. That's the problem with most of these, it's nick or sam monologuing like they're doing stand-up instead of actually interacting with the other actors in the sketch. Also the little dude in the top dom daddy sketch arguing with the girls about demonstrating a blowjob was actually pretty funny. May he be blessed with millions of pounds of weed for ignoring sam when sam tried to get him to stop the conversation. The friendsgiving skit is surprisingly mediocre so far and now there's a musical performance for some reason (probably trying to recapture the magic of the man who would never be) but you gotta have ruse's skill to interweave that into the skit.

Having finished this final episode there's this weird difference between the actors. Erick will interact with what's going on around him. Charles will also interact with what's going on around him during these sketches. Sam and Nick just monologue for some atrocious reason. The fireman bit worked because Schultz made it work by demonstrating how annoyed his character was through the lecture. Others didn't have that skill, like the lady date during the peanut arbuckle dinner date. I just know they're trying to feed stand-up routines into these sketches, and stand-up is the most boring thing in the world. Basically, I just can't say tell much "directing" Schultz actually did because of how fundamentally differently the main four are behaving through sketches.

The parts they've all played are so incredibly different though. For sam and nick it's all been monologues with a tiny portion of acting while Erick and Charles have actually been acting.
