3 had the most actual "racing" of any of the F&F movies. The driving and stunts were also 100% "realistic", as they had Tsuchiya as the main stunt driver lmao.

I beg they wanted to turn into an action spy movie, but couldn’t they find stupid ways to shoehorn street racing into it? I mean more than they already do. Like China is planning to release Covid using a race car crossing the finish line as a trigger for the bioweapon so Vin Diesel has to race and figure out a way to disable the car and stop it from crossing the finish line. At least the first few films, "street racing" was a bit more central to the plot. The third one especially, since the entire climax of the film is centered around winning a street race.

The Aaron paul "Need for speed" movie was a more fast-n-furious movie than most fast-n-furious are. The entire film was doing street-race, someone dieing in a street race, preparing for street race, making it to the street race location, getting a replacement car for the street race, and then doing the street race.
