Big corn is the heart of America. Without it there'd just be a big giant hole right in the middle of our country! Do you want that?! Do you want a GIANT CORNHOLE?!!!

>not switching corn syrup back to sugar in the classic recipe
The corn slop version is already $11 for a case of 12 cans at the grocery store how much more expensive is this (probably limited edition) "version" gonna be?

/tv/ chuds will seethe but the answer is unironically late stage capitalism. There is no incentive for innovation and expansion, all that is left is value extraction. Everything from food getting smaller and more expensive to private equity firms buying up your doctor's office is simply a method of value extraction, specifically cost-cutting measures in pursuit of short term profit.

I once tried one coke in Mexico when I visited it years ago, from what I know their coke is made from cane sugar since forever
And yeah, it was amazing

A lot of big name grocery chains have an ethnic food section, the Mexican portions usually have singles of Coke and Fanta on sale. Lots of people swear by the Fanta as well.

might be an urban myth, i remember always hearing that Coca-Cola was cheaper in (parts of?) the US than drinking water. some mixture of industry conspiracy stuff, and water quality/treatment being expensive.

I did the maths on sugar the other week and there is only 2 cents of sugar in a can of coke based on commodity prices

The irony is that those corn farms originally used to be sugarcane farms. After all, corn syrup did not exist when the Founding Fathers were alive.

they swapped to artificial sweeteners in the uk and sales dropped so much that they reintroduced the full-sugar version as "classic" coke like a month later lol
