I watched it. It's more enjoyable if you understand that it's supposed to be like Sharknado.

So, Bridgerton steals the most famous plot lines from the most famous romance novels; and thrown them into a mish-mash of characters also openly stolen from famous romance novels.

So, you're not really supposed to watch this as an independent work which rises or falls on it's own value; but as a fun overdose of campy and kitschy tropes known by everyone.

It's like when a TV show does a reunion show; or a famous celebrity shows up on a small-rated TV show and says/does something that is an obvious reference to their own famous movie, a wink at the eye of the audience
