Old school Japanese shits go hard as fuck all the time. First episode of Galaxy Express 999 the child protagonist sees his mother get shot to death by immortal human in machine bodies conducting a human hunt. They mount his mother on the wall. Later in the episode the protag guns them all down. webm unrelated.

Ryuki kills all of its riders but the show is ultimately still for kids. Slightly older kids, but it's a superhero show aimed at children that is also trying to sell them flashy toys.
