This movie is so fuckin good, but I dunno if you can really claim it as an "Irish movie" just because of based Hansard

Also Paul Mescal has to be the worst Irish actor to actually make it big. What a fucking hack

can you claim it as an irish movie because of the irish director/writer and irish funding and it being filmed in dublin?

Try The Field. You have to understand that it's not going to be blockbuster Michael Collins sort of deal, it came from a play and in some ways it's a bit garbage (using term ironically), but interesting.

Best Irish actors?

I think not putting Brendan Gleeson as number 1 is probably a pretty telling sign of your tastes. Similarly, ranking Daniel Day Lewis as number 1 or not having him in your top 10 at all tells me everything I need to know about you.

Though the voice actor who provided the dubbing isnโ€™t listed in the credits, Adolfo Celiโ€™s (more well known for portraying bad guy in James Bond Thunderball) Irish general has a memorable brogue to me.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4dXHhCos6_c&pp=ygUTa2luZyBvZiBoZWFydHMgMTk2Ng%3D%3D

I wish the voice actors were listed because Alan Bates is the only British actually voicing himself. The rest were all Italians voice over with VAs.
