Yeah, this is meant to be the goofier version but they gave him a minimalist logo without an actual S and a bunch of tacticool lines.

It represents hope, and Gunn, just like all liberals, feeds off of negative emotions. In their perfect world, there is no place for hope and its symbols, like traditional Superman logo.

>goofier version
Gunn retreats to this shit for all the gay and retarded shit he wants in the movie like the superbots, or the dog, or supergirl, but even basic shit like a regular fucking S or regular fucking Kryptonian parents is a bridge too far and it's pulling teeth to give Supes red trunks.

Around the subverted meaning of hope. Liberals, Gunn included, want us to believe that only their version of "hope" is the right one, but in reality, it is the exact opposite of hope for all of us, normal people who just want freedom from their rule.

Why does this movie spend so much time on an Israeli palestinian conflict allegory, I'm fucking serious, why does this get such little conversation? Even the dumbest people talking about this shit say "The Israeli palestinian thing" and then they kinda brush right by it, but why the fuck is it there.....

>on an Israeli palestinian conflict allegory
It's Russian-Chechen conflict allegory tho. Ghurkos is played by Slavic actor Zlatko Buric who previously played Eastern European mafioso in Refn's movies and Russian oligarch in Triangle of Sadness, and that hot Boravian chick in Luthor's office/headquarters was played by Russian actress Tatiana Piper, and her character had strong Russian accent.

Why not? A common criticism of Superman is that he doesn't do enough, and that he only stops supervillains, blue collar crime, and natural disasters, so it's nice to see a movie where Superman is willingly to enter the geopolitical sphere to save people, even if means causing a political shit show, and other nation's militaries and leaders.
It ties into the theme that Superman is a hero and a symbol of hope who will always do what's right, even if that makes him a controversial figure to conservatives and isolationists
