I agree, I loved the original movie so much that it was actually one of the first DVDs I ever bought in the early 2000s. This sequel was such a disapointment that I can barely rememeber a single thing about it. The first movie is jam-packed with memorable dialogue, shots, use of music, etc.

The second novel is called Porno, and it's about getting into the porn business. Sickboy is the one that's trying to pull it off. Renton escapes after scamming Sickboy, running to Europe to have a romance with Kelly MacDonald.

As far as sequels go it was pretty decent but lacked the charm of the original

In highschool I read all the Irvine Wesh I could get my hands on, to the point where my internal monologue has been a thick edinburgh accent.

I watched some Youtube videos of it and it looked pretty good but not as good as the Youtube videos of Trainspotting I watched

I liked it but it definitely had major flaws

A couple I remember

Budget cuts to the constables coupled with the increase in truck and knife attacks meant there was no one they could send to investigate

They still junkies? I remember when they announced this I loved the original and thought I'd watch the sequel and then it came out and somehow I'd lost my window of interest
