He’s proof that what makes someone a great fighter isn’t hard work and elite level martial arts, but height, frame and build. He has the perfect build for fighting, very tall, long arms for striking, agile and quick on his feet for wrestling while still being big and heavy to not get tossed around easily. Tyson I always felt weirdly... Protective of? Like a lot of people talk about how someone's shitty childhood leads to them doing bad stuff (particularly if they're black) but Tyson's one of the few people where I think yeah, if he'd been raised by some middle class family he would've grown up to be some normal, boring nerd who probably works a desk job and plays DND on the weekends with his pals.
But Tyson grew up in a shit hole surrounded by shitty, violent people, so he had to become a warrior to survive. He had to struggle for everything, not the least of which was a struggle against himself and his own terrible impulses. The fact that he did, ultimately clean up his life and become a better man is inspiring.
