He was cast because Nolan can't swallow his pride and mend bridges with Christian Bale because Bale is the only reasonable choice for Odysseus but not like it matters since people will still eat this up cause it's Nolan. At most, I would've even taken McConaughey over Damon. Damon and regal gravitas are not things that should be in the same sentence. He's a fucking hump from Boston.
