I think it happens sometimes in soap operas/telenovellas, but can't remember 8 different shows. Some faint memory that it happened at least once in some local soap opera. Could have been even 2-3 times in same show. Those hundreds if not thousands episodes long shows pull all kinds of stuff trying to keep it interesting
